Momma said

There would be days like these, my momma said.
Days when I’d feel too irrelevant to have an impact,
Days when I’d feel too powerless to make a change,
Days when I’d feel too small for this big world.
There would be days like these, my momma said.
Days which mornings were too cloudy for the sun to shine,
Days so cold they freeze you inside.
Days when silence is the loudest scream;
Days when gravity is so strong you can’t dream.
Momma said there would be days like these,
But she also told me about the other days.
The days when the wind pushes you to pursue your goals.
The days when even with rain, the Sun appears in random people’s smiles.
Days when you find the reason of your existence is someone else’s eyes.
You know those days when loneliness is nothing but a word?
Days when the air you breathe is so full of love.
There will be days like those!
Days nor time or History will ever forget.
Days when you accept your mistakes with no regrets.
Days when you wear your flaws like your favorite colors.
Days like yesterday’s tomorrow.
Momma said there would be days like these.
Days when you’re filled with such happiness you can not sleep.
Days when you hear the ocean waves from your heartbeat.
The days when the space between your fingers is filled with friends.
Momma said there would be days like these.
There will be days like these, my momma said.
